Our story begins with you

US Women’s Medical Center was founded to help women feel their best at any age. As women get older, hormones naturally begin to decrease. US Women’s Medical Center specializes in balancing those hormones that can have such a negative impact on women’s lives. These symptoms can include decreased energy, mood swings, low libido, hot flashes, insomnia, ect.

Here at US Women’s Medical Center we take an individualized approach to treating each patient. One size does not fit all; what works for some women will not work for others. We know that here at US Women’s Medical Center and we strive to make the symptoms that brought YOU in the office better! We are proud to say we have treated thousands of women in the St. Louis and surrounding areas.

Meet Your Provider

Derek Lambert: Owner of US Women's Medical Center

Derek Lambert – Provider

Derek Lambert is a board certified provider and a member of the American Academy of Anti Aging. He has been a hormone specialist since 2015 and exclusively treats women in the peri menopause and menopause phase of life. Derek’s approach to treating women’s hormones is very simple… He states, “One size does not fit all when it comes to women and hormones”. Derek’s approach is very individualized with each patient. What brings women into the office is very different from patient to patient.

Derek takes great pride in identifying what specifically brings each of his patients into the office and works in alleviating those symptoms. Derek has treated many women with his individualized approach using bio identical hormone replacement. There are over 400 functions of estrogen in the body; many of those functions are not objectively noticeable to patients. One of the functions is brain health. Personal experiences with Alzheimer’s and dementia made estrogen replacement in women a passion for Derek. There is a strong link between lack of estrogen and dementia in women.

Derek likes to sit and talk to his patients and help them understand the importance of hormone replacement therapy. He debunks some of the myths associated with hormone replacement therapy and helps you understand WHY your primary care doctors or OBGYN’s might not check your hormone levels. One of Derek’s favorite quotes is, “There is no need for women to live with hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, brain fog and irritability! The solution is not putting women on antidepressants, but rather giving them estrogen! As the decline of estrogen is what is CAUSING these symptoms!”

Derek has authored a book, “Harmony in Hormones: A Comprehensive Guide to Menopause Treatment”; he wrote this book as an educational guide for women going through menopause and experiencing menopause symptoms. In Derek’s free time he likes spending time with his family (wife and 2 daughters), traveling and spending time outdoors. He likes to say, “You get one life… live it!.”

Using Your Health Insurance

At US Women's Medical Center we accept all health insurance for our hormone therapy treatment services. In most cases you are able to use your health insurance in order to pay for treatment. This depends on many factors such as copays, deductibles and your specific health insurance provider. We do a in-depth insurance verification process that will allow patients to know specifically what their out-of-pocket costs are, if any.

At the time of your first appointment, we start the insurance verification process. When you come back to review your lab work, we have all the information we need to let you know what insurance will cover, and if you would have ANY out-of-pocket expense.
